Sea Speed Kit Sets & Prefabrication Services

At Sea Speed, we not only offer standard designs but also provide custom boat designs in "KIT FORM" or Completely Knocked Down (CKD), which can be shipped worldwide for construction. Our advanced computer design process utilises the latest MaxSurf Design software, ensuring precision and efficiency. Here are the options we offer:

Option 1: Basic Aluminium Hull Structure Starter Kit

Includes: Hull frames, bulkheads, keels, chines, girders, bulkheads, and engine beds. All cut sections include stringer and snipe cut-outs and markings.

Option 2: Full Aluminium Kit

Includes: All aluminium plate and extrusion required to complete the vessel.

Additionally includes everything in Option 1, plus all deck house, internal plate, hull, and deck house shell computer cut and marked. Supply of entire hull and deck house extrusion and piping (un-cut).

Option 3: Full Ship Kit

Includes: All vessel components packed in shipping containers.

Everything from Option 1 and 2, plus all machinery, engineering, fit-out, and more. Builder supplies facility, labour, consumables, and tools.

Prefabrication Services

For a more advanced option, we offer prefabrication services in Australia, including:

‣ Checking of components on loft floor
‣ Buffing for welding and joining of components
‣ Tack welding of rider bars to frames
‣ Tack welding stiffeners to bulkheads
‣ Marking of welding patterns
‣ Checking and stamping by surveyor

Project Management

Sea Speed Designs provides on-site project management and personnel during erection of frames at remote sites. We offer ongoing project management, support, and training during the construction, engineering, fit-out, and commissioning process.

Case Study: First Ferries Prefab Project

As an example, Sea Speed supplied three kit hulls to Wang Tak Engineering and Shipyard in Hong Kong. Three 40-metre containers containing all pre-fabricated hull components for the 28 Metre Catamaran hulls were provided along with detailed design. Our staff assisted with frame erection and provided on-site training and support during hull construction. The vessels were completed in China and delivered to Hong Kong for operation.
