Two of the new Sea Speed High-Speed Aluminium catamarans are currently operational between Hong Kong and Shenzen. The 33 metre aluminium ferry designs are based on the highly sucessfull proven 33 metre catamaran Laing Yu launched in China earlier in the year.

These are the CMCS deep-vee, hard chine hulls which are proving hard to match in both performance and fuel economy.

Full load trial condition at 100% MCR Y2602 achieved 27.9 knots.
