This 26 Metre Sea-Cat Catamaran (measured length 24 M) is the 21 st design of it's kind designed by Paul Birgan and his team at Sea Speed. She is powered by twin MTU/Detroit Series 60 (740hp) and hit a top speed of 26.5 knots during sea trials which will take place mid November 2017 in the Gulf of Thailand. Her operating cruising speed is anywhere from 22-23 knots depending on owners duty cycle and desired fuel burn.

This plumb bow design (to maximize the waterline length) has maintained the measured length under 24metres LOA. This particular hull has proven is very fuel efficient, cutting though the water with a great sea keeping motion. This hull also has a slim line underwater (semi-displacement) deep-vee hull.

. The results for Calypso 12 were fantastic with a few bonuses, the cruising speed was reached at low RPM, running trim was perfect, plus the hull gave off a relatively low wash. This version features walk around sides on the upper deck with large fwd and aft decks and a lounge with seating big enough for all passengers to lie down if desired. The lower deck features a spacious air conditioned day cabin with side located galley, a servery and refrigeration to allow for the service of lunch and refreshments served through out the cruise.

Calypso Twelve's Hydraulic (two stage) dive platform makes snorkeling and Scuba Diving easy.

The aft' dive deck has four toilets including hot and cold water showers as well as wet suit lockers. The two stage hydraulic platform allows passengers open access to the water. When the platform is lowered down it creates a dive stairwell for easy access and when it is lifted back up, it is clear of the water and allows for high speed cruising and tender support.

Large fuel capacity matched with fuel efficient hulls give extended range capabilities for delivery voyages or in an accommodation version, extended cruising time.

The design and kit combination (kit option 2) has been prepared in accordance with the NSCV (AMSA), Class 1C

(126 divers plus 5 crew) criteria with Hull and Deck house to Lloyds Register SSC standard for offshore operations. The same design is approved as a ferry to carry 199 Passengers in coastal operations.
