Calypso
Overview
"Calypso" is the third vessel New Wave Catamarans have built for Calypso Cruises in Port Douglas . She was launched in MID 2007,
The sister ship to Calypso is " Eclipse " that achieved 27.5 knots, top speed. These vessels are extremely economical with " Eclipse " using 75 litres per hour cruising at 20 knots on it delivery run from Brisbane to Port Douglas.
She has been designed to provide very comfortable accommodation for dive charters with very low maintenance. With a hydraulic diving platform which can be lowered into the water and allows the dingy to be lifted out of the water when underway.
The interiors are very low maintenance and this roomy vessel provides a number of group dive preparation areas.
