Sea Cat 74' Offshore Catamaran 'Reef Inspector'
Our new 74 feet (22.2 metre) long-range cruising catamaran design is now been completed at SeaCat Ships shipyard. This high performance expedition catamaran is named 'Reef Inspector' and will make for a great offshore expedition cruiser suited for luxury cruising.The main deck features 3 main VIP cabins and en-suites plus a lounge/4 berth cabin with galley and dining area. The upper deck has a large lounge area which can be converted into crew accommodation, full walkaround deck, spa and living areas.
She is powered by twin Volvo IPS 1050 Drives and her expected sprint speed is around 30 Knots. The Sea Cat 22 design is a proven high performance hull. She is very fuel efficient, cutting though the water with a great sea keeping motion. This hull also has a slim line underwater (semi-displacement) deep-vee hull and is the 5th of this design Kit to be built so far.
This design has large fuel capacity of 2 x 4000 litre long range tanks plus 2 x 2000 litre ready use tanks and this matched with fuel efficient hulls give extended range capabilities for delivery voyages and extended cruising time.
The design and CKD kit combination (kit option 2) has been prepared in accordance with the NSCV (AMSA) Class 2B (Offshore Operations) for overnight passengers vessel 12 plus 4 crew. Day dive boat suited for carrying up to 80 passengers on scuba and snorkeling trips out to the Great Barrier Reef. Hull and deckhouse design to Lloyds Register SSC standard.
