'Off Grid 38' Solar Powered Houseboat

 

 

Introducing our new range of 'Off Grid Catamarans' - the perfect solution in an era of housing shortages, rising power bills and worsening environmental concerns. These innovative vessels will offer an economical option for living or vacationing on the water, all while being kind to the environment. Plus, they can be easily transported in containers.   Construction is underway on our revolutionary Electric/Hybrid catamaran design. Our first model is the sleek 11.6 Metre aluminium houseboat catamaran, available in three options: 

 

 1. Full Electric: Powered by a large solar panel arrangement on the roof, this version charges the lithium battery bank below decks in a properly vented and fire proofed compartment. It's equipped with electric engines and conventional prop/shaft propulsion.

 

 2. Hybrid version: This model combines a solar powered electrical system for onboard electrical systems with cost effective outboard engines for propulsion. The best of both worlds! 

 

3. Conventional version: For the least expensive choice, opt for this version. The electrical system is powered by a genset or shore power, while propulsion is handled by outboard engines. Plus, you'll have access to the roof sundeck. 

 

 Inside, you'll find an open plan layout that comfortably sleeps up to 6 people. With one double bed and two large lounges/sofa beds, it's perfect for a cozy getaway. The design allows for customization to suit your needs, with off-the-shelf furniture options. The galley/bar area features a standard modular design, complete with under-bench refrigeration, a washing machine, gas stove, and oven. 

 

But that's not all! Our 'Off Grid Catamarans' come with a range of other great features, including a sewerage treatment system, large doorways, and hopper windows for excellent natural ventilation. The tinted windows provide great vision and can be equipped with heat-reducing blinds. And when you're in the mood to party, simply remove the Lounge/Sofas to create an open space. 

 

Even better, our design allows for easy transportation or storage. The entire catamaran can be disassembled and fit into just two 40" containers. If you're in need of a work platform, the hull design can be transported in a single 40' container.
